The Mamas Project
in 2016, a fifth of the “foreign” population had been born in Switzerland. Among the foreigners born outside the country, nearly half (44%) had lived in Switzerland permanently for ten years. Switzerland is rich in culture from every continent. The aim of the mama’s project is not only to connect generations with one another but to share with each other all these diverse cultures and identities with one another.
Cooking and eating food defines each culture specifically but is also part of our collective humanity. Who else has more knowledge in food that our mothers? The mamas project aim to reconnect the mamas with society and give them a sense of purpose. Through their cuisine, not only do they share food but also their stories, culture and identity.
Our concept is simple: we organize dinners where a team of mamas will cook for you and share with you their side of history - which at the end is also our stories
